1. Dr Elizabeth Dunlop

I am an experienced lecturer at Charles Sturt University, teaching predominately at CSU’s partner universities in China and Cambodia. With over 10 years’ experience lecturing in both Australia and internationally, I have developed strong capabilities in successfully adapting my teaching style to meet the differing needs of various student cohorts, and engaging collaboratively in cross cultural environments.

I completed a PhD in marketing, focussing on ethical consumerism and the incidence of consumer punishment in ethically questionable business situations. My main research interests are in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, international business, strategy, and emerging and under-developed markets. I have also published multiple journal articles and has been invited to present at both academic and industry conferences both in Australia and internationally. 

I continue to be engaged in the not-for-profit sector through her volunteer work in an Australian charity organisation based in Uganda. In the role of Ugandan Liaison Manager, I work in a dynamic cross-cultural team where I am able to utilise my skills in marketing, strategy development and implementation, and strengthening cross-cultural partnerships.

In the JCP I am the CSU Subject Convenor for MGT382 Strategy and Corporate Governance, MGT387 Managing Your Global Workforce and Business, and MKT389 Strategic Marketing and Planning.

2. Benjamin Moore

I am pleased to be working as a lecturer in the China Program for Charles Sturt University because of its multi-disciplinary approach with the ability to become part of an academic faculty actively building collaboration between two cultures and economies: East and West. The program directly complements my 9 years of multi-disciplinary qualifications in Communications, Law and Social Sciences.
After graduating I worked for 7 years in banking and finance where I had the opportunity to become an entrepreneur, co-founding and running a finance company. Through this work experience I have been given a great understanding of the world outside university including business, money, and people. I have lived in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai with experience working in cross cultural teams across Asia Pacific for global business.

The focus of my research papers during my Masters in Chinese Business law from Hong Kong was a comparative analysis of Chinese and Western approaches to commercial law to establish and operate global businesses. Having these dual qualifications in Australian common law (LLB) and Chinese law helps bridge the culture gaps between the two economies when teaching and advising Chinese students on global business practices, especially those seeking further graduate studies at foreign universities or employment in global corporations.

Holding a Masters in Communication Management (Marketing & Public Relations) provides the theoretical grounding to deliver programs teaching students the psychological principles behind persuasion, influence, branding and image in the context of buyer and consumer behaviour, with the ability to build strategies on digital media platforms to maximise returns.
My interests include education, knowledge, business, and cross-cultural experiences. I look forward to working together with you on this higher educational partnership program.

3. Emmett Berry

I am a Chartered Accountant and worked for a number of years in business advisory and taxation compliance.  During my time in public practice I managed a range of clients, predominately in primary production.
I joined the School of Accounting and Finance in 2012 on our Bathurst campus. I completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) through Charles Sturt University, graduating with Distinction. During my Bachelor studies I was awarded the ‘Pearson Australia Marketing Book Prize’, the ‘Association of Taxation & Management Prize’ for Management Accounting, and a number of ‘Dean’s Awards’. I also graduated with Distinction in CSU’s Master of Commerce, specialising in Finance, and have a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. 

I teach a number of other subjects in Bathurst and Online, including:

4. Denise Drabble

 My professional experience has included working in management positions for over twenty-five years for international corporations and various divisions of Defence. Those roles. Those roles required me to practically apply operations and business management, and project management techniques to successfully aid decisions, to create improvement initiatives, and to develop strategies that would provide the organisation with better competitive readiness to enable it to be highly capable of achieving its mission.

In addition, I have extensive high-level professional experience in the areas of strategic organisational design, workforce change and business improvements, using sound project management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, coupled with excellent technical skills, critical thinking & analytical skills. These attributes and qualifications in project management, plus my strong leadership qualities have enabled me to lead teams in business improvements and transformational change programs, and operational development initiatives to effectively achieve organisational requirements and sustainability across a range of business disciplines.

Additionally, for the last fifteen years I have also been teaching as a sessional Academic within CSU teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students over a wide range of subjects; my way of sharing that experience with others.

My main interests are project management development to achieve sustainability, educational and knowledge development, operational excellence, international business and Lean Six Sigma.

5. Jay Myers

I am both a lecturer and Subject Convenor at Charles Sturt University and has over 10 years of teaching experience. I have both taught a number of subjects in the CSU/China joint program including ACC384, FIN381, FIN385 and BUS384.

Before joining CSU, I was a senior executive in a major Global Bank as well as leading professional services firms.

I am heavily focused on providing his students with both a theoretical and practical understanding of global business. I try to inspire my students to be intellectually curious and to become sophisticated business leaders.
